~A Message from our Superintendent, Dr. Peter Ansingh~

Though the Legislature has not completed all of its work to adjust the State budget affecting
the 2010-11 school year, the District feels like we have enough information to move
ahead with our plans to open the Freshman Campus of West Valley High School next year.
This involves moving our ninth graders from the Junior High School to the newly remodeled
building on the site of the old WVHS; moving our seventh graders across the parking lot to
WVJHS; and moving the fifth grade students from each of our six elementary schools to
the MS.
Principals and teachers have been preparing for the transitions since last fall. Most of the
teaching staff for each of the buildings have been identified and schedules are nearly
complete. Registration is currently underway for each of the new schools. Affected parents
will be receiving more detailed information over the next couple of months. The District
is looking forward to this next step in our legacy offering quality programs to ensure
