Term 4 has begun...We are back into our Reading Series:
Theme 3, Voices of the Revolution
*IMPORTANT NEWS FOR THIS WEEK: Wednesday, Feb 8, Students will be taking the MAPS test for Reading. (Measurement of Academic Progress) All 5th & 6th graders will be tested in both Reading and Math in the next couple weeks and then will be tested again in the spring.
Each week students will be receiving spelling lists and vocabulary words to study on Mondays (or first day of week) Spelling Test will be Thursday & Vocab on Friday.
Students will be finishing our read aloud, the award winning novel, Maniac Magee, by Jerry Spinelli. A book about understanding and compassion...accepting and appreciating the differences in others. A fun read and full of colorful characters.
2/3rd period kids have been warned...HEALTHY snacks ONLY from now on and no sharing. Today (Friday, Nov 4) they did a good job...but it must continue in order for them to keep this privilege :)
