Welcome to our classroom web page. It is a pleasure working with students at West Valley Middle School. I look forward to getting to know you better as time goes by and I hope you find our time together rewarding.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I have taught for the West Valley School District for the last 26 years. My, how time flies! I’ve enjoyed teaching students at Ahtanum, Wide Hollow, Cottonwood, and Apple Valley and am proud to be in Pack 500 at the Middle School team-teaching with Mrs. Williams. I get to focus on many interesting parts of the world with you as we study Geography. I also enjoy the work with my fellow teachers as the District’s Professional Development Specialist. I not only teach teachers, but I learn from them as well.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy many activities with my husband, Vance. Together we fly-fish in the beautiful rivers and streams of Washington and Montana whenever we can. We also enjoy playing in local theatre groups and attending good theatre. I also sew and practice playing the folk harp. As you can see, I like to stay busy.
As time goes on, I hope to learn more about your interests and hobbies, and help you make connections to what we are studying and the real world that awaits you.
