Ways to Earn Extra Credit Points in Mr. Beck's WVMS 6th Grade Science Classes

Maximum 10 Extra Credit Points Per Term

**There are three ways to earn extra credit points**

1. Newspaper/Magazine Article (1 point) Share a science-related newspaper or magazine article with the class.

**Limit 2 Newspaper/Magazine Articles Per Term**

 

2. Website Evaluation (1-2 points) Open Mr. Beck's WVMS website, click on Website Questionaire (PRINT IT); click on Check Out These Science Websites for Kids; visit any of the sites listed and fill out the questionaire; then present your observations/opinions to the class.

**Limit 2 Website Evaluations Per Term**

 

3. Oral Presentation (1-10 points) Completing an Oral Presentation alone or with up to two partners. Topics must be science related and okayed by Mr. Beck prior to any research. Extra Credit points earned will be determine by Oral Presentation Evaluation score.

Presentations are...

-> ... to be at least 3 minutes in length.

-> ... to include at least one visual aid (PowerPoint, classroom camera and projector, display board, pictures/drawings, etc.)

-> ... to have at least 4 review questions for the class.
